Paste every client's exports. Know who to call first.
Add each client's Amazon Sales and Traffic by Date report and Shopify orders export. Get one portfolio, ranked by the change against the same month last year, and a monthly report per client to copy into email. The files are read in your browser and never uploaded.

Part 1
Ask each client for 2 files, 13 months each
Do this first
- Agree a day with each client, such as the 3rd, for last month's files.
- Amazon: Seller Central, Reports, Business Reports, Sales and Traffic by Date, a range from the same month last year to the end of last month, one row per day, downloaded as CSV.
- Shopify: Orders, Export, Orders by date, as CSV, for the same dates.
- Paste each client's files into their card above and copy each report.
- Business reports need the Professional selling plan, and their data is generally available for up to 2 years,1 so 13 months is always in reach.
- Shopify downloads an export of up to 50 orders or the current page, and emails any other export to the person exporting and the store owner.3 A client exporting a year will get it by email, so ask them to forward it.
- A month with fewer days in Amazon's file than the calendar reads "Needs all of" and the month, so a partial Amazon month never ranks as a fall. Shopify lists only days with orders, so pick a month its export fully covers.
Part 2
How the portfolio reads each client
| Line | How it's read |
|---|---|
| Sales | Amazon's ordered product sales plus Shopify's subtotal after discounts, minus refunds, by calendar month. Voided and fully refunded Shopify orders left out |
| Status | Below -10% against the same month last year is "Call this week", below 0 is "Watch", the rest "On track". A file that doesn't reach back to last year reads "Needs" and the month |
| Biggest move | The channel whose sales moved most against last year |
| What moved | Amazon split into sessions, unit session percentage and average selling price. Shopify split into orders and average order value. The part that moved most is named |
- Ordered product sales is the price of order items times units sold, and unit session percentage is units divided by sessions,2 so the 3 parts multiply back to Amazon's sales.
- Sales here are before fees, ad spend and Amazon refunds. The report says what moved, and the call is where you find out why.
- The 6 sections each report copies follow the monthly client report template, whose Excel workbook holds every other channel a client sells on.
