Your monthly business review, written from your exports.

Drop in Amazon's Sales and Traffic by Date report and Shopify's orders export, type any other channel, and read the month against last month and the same month last year: which channel moved, whether traffic, conversion or order value moved it, and what to check next. The files are read in your browser and never uploaded.

Example exports for a made-up brand, opened on its September 2026 review. Replace them with your own, or .

Any other channel: Walmart, Faire, TikTok Shop, wholesale. Type its sales, and orders if you have them.

What to check next

    Part 1

Build the review from 2 exports

    Do this first

    1. In Seller Central, open Business Reports, then Sales and Traffic by Date, and download 13 months as CSV.
    2. In Shopify, open Orders, then Export, as CSV, for the same months.
    3. Paste or pick both files, type any other channel, and pick the review month.
    4. Print or save the review as PDF, or copy it for Slack or email.
    • The review month is the newest whole month in your files, compared with the month before and the same month a year earlier. The example opens on September 2026, against August 2026 and September 2025.
    • Amazon keeps Business Reports for 2 years,1 so a 13-month download fits with room to spare.
    • It reads the same columns as export to scorecard, with voided and fully refunded Shopify orders left out.

    Part 2

Why a channel moved: traffic, conversion or order value

    LeverAmazonShopify
    TrafficSessionsSessions you type from Analytics
ConversionUnit session percentage, units over sessionsOrders over sessions
Order valueAverage selling price, sales over unitsNet sales per order
    • Sales are traffic times conversion times order value. The change on last year is split between the 3 by each one's share of the change, so the parts add up to the whole. Amazon's 2 ratios follow its glossary.2
    • Without Shopify sessions, the split has 2 parts, orders and order value.
    • Fees, ad spend, cost of goods and Amazon refunds are left out, so each check is a place to look, and the monthly business review template lays out the full 5 sections this page starts.

Want the rest of the review?

This page writes the scorecard and points at where to look. The free report goes the rest of the way: every channel you sell on, 13 weeks against last year, each likely cause tested against your data, and the actions ranked with an owner and a date. Your first monthly review is free, and the free month ends on its own.
