What every marketplace takes from an order in 2026

- Look up your own category on Amazon and Walmart, where rates run from 5% to 45% and from 2.35% to 20%.

- Amazon, Walmart and Faire take 15% in most categories,1,3,6 while clothing, media and other categories differ on Amazon.
- Walmart charges its referral fee on the total sales price, shipping included.3
- Etsy's 6.5% transaction fee applies to shipping and gift wrap too,5 and the $0.20 listing fee renews after each sale on listings with more than one in stock.

What changed in 2026
- TikTok Shop, August 4: the referral fee for most non-food categories reportedly rose from 6% to 8%, while TikTok's public table, revised in May, still shows 6%.4
- Etsy, July 31: the Etsy Payments Policy, which sets the 3% + $0.25 US processing rate, was last updated.5
- Walmart, March 8: the referral fee schedule was last updated.3
